Have you ever wanted to program microcontrollers such as robotic, wearable, or embedded systems? The good news is you can, and you can do it in Python! We will be spending a few hours learning to program the Adafruit Circuit Playground Express, a device with touchpad, buttons, speaker, microphone, and 10 NeoPixel multi-colored LEDs.

**Note that for this class there are materials to order in advance, see the bottom of this description for details.**

In this class you will learn:
* How to plug in and test your Circuit Playground Express
* What CircuitPython is and how to install it
* How to write a program for your Circuit Playground Express and then install and run it
* How to interact with the various input and output devices
* Where to learn more about the full possibilities with this fun board

The workshop is from 10-2 on Saturday, August 17th at the [Entrepreneur’s Sandbox](https://sandboxhawaii.org/). We will have snacks and drinks available throughout the workshop. You should bring your laptop, your Circuit Playground Express (see below), the cable to connect the two, and your curiosity.
